The Redilist and Cable Stations

NCC is the company that provides DDS users with the vendor file to be used when buying local cable. NCC and EasyLink have partnered to provide Redilist users with the most up-to-date list of syscodes (how they identify stations) and associated fax numbers. NCC will provide EasyLink with a weekly file containing updates and new syscodes, which EasyLink will use to make the necessary changes to the master Redilist. This master Redilist will replace the existing master Redilist for local cable stations.

EasyLink will not accept changes or additions to syscodes for the master Redilist from agencies. If you need a syscode added or a fax number changed for a syscode, you can only make these requests for your private Redilist.

Please remember that the procedure used by EasyLink when sending a fax number is to check the private Redilist first, and if a station or syscode is not found, to then look to the master Redilist. NCC updates will not affect your personal Redilist.

How Does the Redilist Work?

EasyLink maintains a master Redilist that is accessible by all registered users. They also offer the option of a private Redilist for an EasyLink user name. For example, if you sign on to DDS using user ID ABCNY and you submit a private Redilist change for station WPIX, you access this private number only when signed on to ABCNY. For further information please contact your DDS account representative.
